250TH MARK ANDY PERFORMANCE SERIES PRESS BOUGHT BY SPANISH CONVERTER
Mark Andy Inc., the world’s leading manufacturer of narrow web flexo presses, has launched a new advanced print platform specifically for film and flexible packaging applications. Named Versa Max, the new flexo press line is designed to respond to the demands of short run film and flexible packaging work, offering a lower cost per printed unit than any other press in its class. Key to its success is the flexibility it offers converters, combining high production speeds with top quality printing across a variety of substrates. The machine purchased is a 17 inch (432mm) Performance Series P5, with 8 stations and equipped with cold foil, lamination and a Quick Change Die Cut (QCDC) station, a technology which won the FTA Technical Innovation Award earlier this year. |
Mr. José Mir, President of Mirmar states, “We have selected Mark Andy Performance Series based on superior press design and function. This, combined with the excellent technical support we continue to receive from the local Spanish distributor, sets Mark Andy apart from other press manufacturers.” Mirmar is a company committed to producing the highest quality product. Their production methodology is based on a “Quality Control Handbook” written by their own technicians with the advice of experienced consulting engineers. The processes and controls in place at Mirmar have led the company to receiving UNE-EN-ISO 9002 certification. A Mark Andy customer since the late 1980s, this purchase marks the seventh Mark Andy press for this label converter catering to customers in a variety of industries including food, industrial, retail and chemical. |
